This is an ongoing teaching assignment to teach beginning drawing. Focusing on instructing students in creating drawings that demonstrate an understanding of light and dark value, compositional elements, illusionist space, figure-ground interaction, and proportional measuring techniques. They learn to use various drawing mediums such as pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and pastels. The focus of the course is on drawing forms from observation to create realistically rendered drawings. Lecture on contemporary and historical art and use class critiques to foster artistic growth.

Managing, operating and maintaining a 3-D art laboratory. Operating a bronze casting facility. Maintaining wood, metal, jewelry and ceramic workshops. Overseeing lab hours.
